Hi, It’s KT SOCIAL MEDIA + MARKETING.
Your girl is official. Officially SELF-EMPLOYED! Self-employed with a CPA and everything.
If you have been around since the start of this site (aka only a few months ago), then you probably know that I lost a big social media client and therefore half of my monthly income. Thanks to that, I joined thousands of others as we all fought for the same thing - a job.
After three or four months of searching, one job interview, and one Cup of Coffee meeting later, I began to question why I wanted a corporate job so badly.
Turns out, losing my “full-time” job was the best thing to happen to me because it brought me to where I am right now - writing this post about officially taking the plunge into believing in myself.
As of the end of March, my business - KT Social Media + Marketing, is now recognized by the state of Pennsylvania. It is both exciting and scary that I am now responsible for a business. But, I seem to enjoy chaos, so adding yet another responsibility to my plate is nothing out of the ordinary.
So, what is KT Social Media + Marketing? It’s a hybrid company that helps clients with the following needs: Social Media Management (including Influencer Outreach, Community Management, etc.), Basic Marketing practices, Content Creation, Amateur Photography and Videography, and Social Media Consulting. I have two “full-time” clients: Bella Terra Vineyards (all three locations and their Wedding/Event venue) and Sonder Spa. My job responsibilities with both companies have helped me learn and expand my social media knowledge into a successful social media/marketing business.
My specialties lie mainly with social media management and content creation although I am working on my marketing certifications to be able to provide more options to my clients.
My days are packed with scrolling socials, comments, DM, reel edits, and more and it’s honestly a dream come true. Digital Storytelling is a passion of mine and I consider myself extremely lucky to have been given this opportunity.
That being said, now that I am a business owner, it’s time to throw in the spiel about supporting us small businesses. I am looking for small projects, clients, etc. to help fill my books. If you know of anyone who is looking for a kicka** social media marketing manager, please pass along my information. I also encourage you to follow my personal socials and to sign up for my emails (you won’t get many, I promise) so you can keep up with my upcoming blog posts. This helps to push out my work to a greater audience and maybe get me more clients. You can subscribe at the bottom of this page.
Thanks for supporting me and believing in me.
XOXO,
Katey
